Therefore, we again would like to thank our last year sponsors…Emerald Coast Conference Center, Aramark, Buffalo Rock, Helen Back, Budweiser, Sea breeze Taxi, and Emerald Coast Inn and Suites for their support

The Emerald Coast Inn and Suites (next door to the conference center) has again offered an outstanding rate of Nov 22 of $59.95. Call 850-243-5563 and asks for the Dirty Bird Special (LIMITED ROOMS-DON’T WAIT)

Until Reunion

We put together a once-a-month get together at “The Block” on the first Saturday night of every month. Several of you showed up and had a great time. However, it didn’t turn into a regular crowd and we decided not to offer it anymore. We still encourage you to go dancing there.

Jun 19, 2008

Make your plans to attend this year's reunion on Nov 22 (Saturday) 7:00pm-1:00am. We will try our best to get the Windjammer Band to return. However, if Windjammer is not available,  we need a back up plan. Should we DJ only? How about finding another local band that played our music back in the day and have Beth DJ on the breaks? We need your feedback on how to make this year's reunion better than last year. Reply to us by copying and pasting the questions below and adding your comments.

1. If we can't get the Windjammer Band would you:

    a. Like to hear from another local band that played the Seagull Music? If so suggestions and phone # of a band.

    b. Have Beth DJ the entire night.

    c. Won't attend if Windjammer Band doesn't play.

    d. Other: Explain

2. Last year we surprised everyone with free food (80 Pizzas, Discounted beer, Lodging, chips, and free water - thanks to our sponsors-Aramark (Alicia), Anheuser-Busch (Scott), Buffalo Rock (Paul), Helen Back (Chris), Emerald Coast Inn & Suites (Bobby). Thoughts?

    a. Do the same thing this year - if sponsored.

    b. Have no food or snacks.

    c. If not sponsored, have the conference center's caterer supply the food at a charge (popcorn, chips, pizza).

    d. Suggestion? Explain

3. Would you buy a "I Survived the Dirty Bird Reunion" T-shirt or Polo? Any other ideas?

4. Last year, there were several request for VIP seating. We are considering blocking off a section next to the dance floor and stage for that purpose. Would you pay extra for a VIP table next to the dance floor and stage?

5. What did you like most about the first reunion?

6. What did you like least at the first reunion?

7. What would you like added this year?

Email us with your thoughts at: Party@DirtyBirdReunion.com

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Until the reunion, "The Block" Club has offer us the upstairs bar/dance club on the first Saturday of every month (8:00pm-11:00pm). Beth, the Seagull DJ, will also DJ for us. She will play the old school music like we danced to at the Seagull. The first Saturday we started this was June 07. Although it was the same night as the Billy Bowlegs landing, we had approximately 30-40 people show up. I would like to thank Mark, the owner of the Block, for supplying finger food for us.

The Block wants us! Here is what they posted on their website:

80's Dance Mix - first Saturday of every month First Saturday of each month starting at 8pm come out and dance to ALL your favorite dance 80's mix with DJ Beth from the Legendary "SEAGULL". The Block would like to welcome the "Dirty Bird" Crew out to the 80's night (www.dirtybirdreunion.com) ... Thanks

Additionally, please Email  us what you liked best and didn't like about the 2007 reunion. Our goal is to make the 2008 reunion better than 2007.
